For the health and well-being of our members, volunteers and wider community, 1Up has closed the Centre, indefinitely. As a result, we have also temporarily reduced our services. We know this is a time of increased anxiety for many of our members and their families, and our priority is to continue to support you, as best we can. Going forward, some staff are working remotely, while others will remain on site to distribute practical support, answer your phone calls and emails, and continue provision of services. Please take note of the following changes:
- All classes, groups, and drop-in services are suspended.
- The CVITP (Volunteer Income Tax Program) will continue, members can call or email the Centre to arrange drop off/pick up of necessary documents.
- For scheduled appointments with staff, please ring the doorbell.
- We will not be requiring membership renewals until further notice.
If you require assistance, please call 250-385-1114 during our regular business hours, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are in crisis and need to connect with someone immediately, please contact the Vancouver Island Crisis Line at 1-888-494-3888. Phone service is available 24/7, and chat and text services are available from 6 -10 pm 7 days/week.
Staff are working hard to find ways to meet member needs and considering the current situation we are following the recommendations of public health officials closely. While we regret this inconvenience, we want to be very cautious when it comes to the health and well-being of our community. As the situation evolves, we will continue to share updates and information on our website and Facebook page, so please keep an eye out. Be sure to call or email the Centre if you have any questions or concerns.
